Looks like topic has moved from balance to theme.
I dont think it moved, it always has been, I dont see a single balance argument from the beginning just that the stats dont fit lore and the mass of ideas and most of them go far away from default KISS.

That being said I can justify these stats with lore.

High HP? Well they work on undead, exposure to tons of things that are pretty deadly, you gotta have pretty strong or maybe not entierly alive body to do that for that long. Impact resistance? Clothes.

Leadership and similar are just bad because technically shouldnt all the undead already be controlled by necromancer except for like high level ones? I get that ud with leadership exist but more like replacement for when necro isnt looking or something like that IG.

Curse? Not very kiss like.

More plague? Literally boring. You already have some.

Probably some more that I missed / whatever.
A necromancy-themed mage should stand behind waves of undead minions while bolstering them with powerful magic and debilitating their enemies with spells, not tanking damage from the frontline.
With melee plague...
