often the enemy ship is the best place to run to- perhaps boarding is a little too easy now?
maybe limit the places you can disembark from the ships? bottlenecks?
like how the sub does it
Hmm, I guess it depends a bit on crew strength... in fact, if the enemy ship is heavily crewed there may be no place to board at all. That why it was necessary for cannon fire to harm deck crews - to create openings for your boarders. Though you might be right that most ship decks are too "open" now and we need at least another one like the sub.
Perhaps instead of putting solid walls down, use the new elevation feature to make boarding only possible from a few spots, but still allowing like ranged attacks and so on?
So a ship complete surrounded in people will still get swarmed without comprising the ease of access in the new version
I don’t actually know how it works unfortunately, but I think that would be ideal
