Conquest+ has now been updated with options at startup to disable the Magus, also an option to disable Builders (and siege units), ....so these can simply be selected optionally e.g. if you want the extra Conq+ races but want the game to work a bit more like Conquest Original Gameplay without Magus (which is a mobile summoning and fireball casting unit) or builders and fortifications/siege units (note, this update is only on Conquest+ and not on Conquest+ Space). Also note, some races' special abilities are not affected such as the Rift's many special skills such as gorgon state/plague and the Roman's formation abilities.
