I played through the campaign again on Hard a while back and had a good time with it.
There's something odd going on with the achievements:I thought there would be a second phase to the Jinn scenario.
I had a relatively easy time with this one despite the unexpected loss of the keep and not moving Ryuuma properly. Although the stats for this one are obscene: top 99.9% hits, +14% damage inflicted. Things would also have gone way worse if the initial Fire Guardians from the top right monolith didn't attack the Saurians.
I lost due to time in the first attempt at Realm of the Stings. I thought the map wasn't big enough for the path directly east to be unobstructed, I was avoiding the mushrooms (I thought the mushrooms would attack adjacent units), I wanted to keep Ryuuma on flat terrain and thought there might be a "road" to follow. I was overthinking this as just moving Ryuuma east is the fastest path.
I tried to avoid the scorpion spawn trigger in the winning replay, but scorpions killed by AI units including the crabs still count. (In the winning replay, this resulted in a massacre when the scorpions spawned in Ryuuma's face.)
I quite liked the scenario though.
Not too much to say about the caravan scenario - I cleared it easily with substantial carryover - except that the Mushrooms were both "aggressive" and not invulnerable.
The AI troops quickly triggered most of the tunnels off-screen.
Finale was more interesting at the start before settling into a bit of a grind after the second wave of flying enemies. If I had a promoted a 2nd L4 leader earlier I could have shaved off 20+ turns. I only had one loss (quick and intelligent strike again), but I also had a fluke survivor and 2-3 other units that could have plausibly been killed. The AI nearly broke my lines in the centre when I got careless, which would probably have stalemated or lost the scenario.
