these are the old mainline ones. they are kept for lesser dragon-like enemies. but there are also bigger dragons later in the game.2. I like the fire dragon and undead dragon images. I think they're too large in mainline.
you may be right3. I think some messages vanish too fast.
no luck mode simply makes all the combat deterministic, the terrain modifier which determines the chance to hit becomes a damage-modifier.4. There is Noluck Mode. What does it do? I suggest it also makes things across the map not random. I mean, instead of finding random items you find special currency that can be used to buy special items at shops. Those things can't be bought with normal gold. Or maybe you can choose one instead of zero or two.
this may lead to different ai-behaviour, so it potencially changes gameplay, but it make it in general a bit easier, BUT you also wont get the chance for a lucky roll
in any case its worth a try. especially if you want to try out strategies in a deterministic environment.
unfortuanately, SXRPG has a lot of make-it-or-break-it moments5. The bugs were fixed. I was aware some buyable things are traps. I chose the "First Timer" difficulty level (a somewhat misleading name if you ask me) and Revive Mode. But still I lost. I guess I can't do anything else than try to fine-tune my strategy (of course without ruining the role-play experience).
and theres some need for something like a tutorial i agree, however making it good with some pictures wil require some work.
