I held the castle with the 3 javelineers, and the forest with Jessene and 3 trapper-line units, while 2 mermen held the water and I recalled 1 extra white mage for healing. Not much strategy, I just use safe attacks to pick at dangerous units (marksmen, thunderguards), so that they will stop attacking me. I rotated Burin and Ruddry out as needed to cover holes when the javs needed some more time to heal. Since the end bonus is huge, I think having 1-2 more units would've enabled me to last even longer, but I would've needed to have more gold from the previous scenario
